Our house looks like a normal terrace from the outside, but the space inside inside is not what you would expect from a normal terrace house. The bathroom is as big as bedroom 3 and has recently been re-tiled with porcelain tiles. The windows are solid wood and have recently been sanded and re-stained. The kitchen is modern and we also have a separate utility room. There are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The property has high ceilings and original fireplaces in the front room and dining room. The garden is decked for low maintenance, and we have decorated the property to a high standard throughout.

Tucked out of the way and set back off the road, out of sight once you have closed the front gates, you are secluded and in your own space. You can hear in the distance people chatting, cars driving by, but no one can see you, yet the busy High Street is only a short walking distance away. Choose from a mixture of local businesses, from fruit and veg sellers, ideal to help you get your five a day, or brand names like Co-op and Iceland and along the other end of the High Street, a large Tesco to do your fortnightly shopping. With the beach never more than walking distance away, in Sheerness whoever you are, what better place to live and bring up the children. Picture them playing at the beach, laughing, running around, all excited or let them cool off and go for a dip in the sea or spend some loose change in the amusements with the sounds and flashing lights of the machines . What appears at first glance as an average size house from the outside, will portray a different side once inside. Each room has its own character and style, you get a feeling of space which ever room you are in and seem to be endless, perfect for a large family. What the Owner says:I have owned this house for over 10 years, as soon as I walked through the front door I had to buy it, it just had a warmth about it and I could see at first glance it was going to be a big house. Once you shut the front gates, you could be anywhere, yet close to all the amenities, from doctors to dentists as well as the railway station. Have you been dreaming of lively family gatherings in your new home Wait until you see this house, deceptive from the front as it looks like an ordinary detached three bed. Come inside and you'll fall in love as you go through the lounge and into the kitchen. This is the kind of kitchen with open plan dining room where memories are made. You'll be able to see yourself here cooking up a feast, while a noisy happy clan of friends or family sit around the table enjoying delightful wafts of warm cooking smells. and don't worry about where you'll put all the bottles of wine because you've got a built in wine rack among the mod cons! The rest of the home will certainly not be a disappointment as there are good size bedrooms, big enough for a family and what more could you want than two bathrooms for convenience. And a study an ideal place to do your paperwork in piece and quiet., or to encourage the children to get homework done properly instead of doing it sat in front of the t.v. The dream goes on as you enter the garden, because out here you've got a great space to sit and eat in the summer and plenty of room for children playing. Sound too good to be true Book a viewing now and you'll see this real life and it could be your life. What the Owner says:When we saw this place we loved it because of the quiet cul-de-sac location, and so convenient to get to shops or on to main roads if you're going out of town. Since moving here we've added the extension and refitted the kitchen and bathrooms. We love what we've done here and have enjoyed it a lot, it's especially good for the children and ideal for working from home, which is why we added the study. We've decided to take the next step on the property ladder, so we're happy to think that now someone else will be able to enjoy this house as much as we have. When two local parishes combined this magnificent Edwardian vicarage was no longer required by the church and put up for sale. The current owners bought it 12 years ago when it was little more than a six bedroomed shell and over the years have transformed it into the perfect family home. Tucked down a lane next to St Barnabas church with extensive views it is just a short walk from the town centre and all its amenities and transport links. It was this location with views of the hills that attracted the current owners who moved here from an architect designed modern house. He said: “We have always loved Littleborough, the setting is gorgeous, and the town has everything you need. “We weren’t really looking for anything but were in the town one day and by chance found the vicarage with a For Sale sign outside! “To be honest it looked a bit spooky back then and my wife was nine months pregnant so it was not ideal! “But I popped to the local newsagent, bought some copies of property magazines and we got inspired. We came to view the house and knew immediately it could be a wonderful home. “Friends and relations thought we were mad! We came here from a clean and modern bungalow with a toddler and a new baby into a big old house which was little more than a shell where the basics had been done but nothing more. “But we loved it immediately and it turned into an incredible home for us all.” The approach is impressive sweeping down into a well-tended gravel driveway and the entrance porch with its stained glass double doors give an indication of the splendour inside. The love and attention that has been lavished here is obvious as soon as you step into the entrance hall with its perfect flooring and original panelling to the walls and beautifully simple staircase. Cast iron radiators and Edwardian doors add to the feeling of stately grandeur. Built at the turn of the century the rooms are classically proportioned and most still retain their original cornicing and deep skirtings giving the house an elegant feel. The grandest rooms are at the back of the house with a triple bay window throwing light into the classically proportioned drawing room with its large stone fireplace that can accommodate a roaring fire on wintry days. All great family homes have the kitchen at their heart and the Vicarage is no exception. Extended to incorporate smaller rooms and refitted just three years ago it is the perfect room for a family to gather with French doors leading out onto the garden so mealtimes can spill outside. The current owner said: “It is the hub of the home. Our children are just teenagers now but we eat breakfast together every morning and catch up here round the table every evening. For us it is probably the most important room in the house.” The fit-out is a comfortable combination of stylish cream units, Corian worktops, tiled floors and a magnificent range cooker. It is big enough to accommodate a table that can easily seat six as well as a family sized American fridge/freezer. Top of a teenage wish list is a television room with vast comfy sofas where you can sprawl to watch movies and the current owners have created the perfect space while still retaining gracious style. It also leads onto a light filled garden room, the perfect quiet corner to read a book or take in the views. On the other side of the house is a superbly equipped gym fitted out with all the latest equipment including a treadmill, rowing machine and weights as well as mirrors and an entertainment system. There is also a professional standard office perfect for anyone wanting to work from home. “I like going to the gym, ” explained the current owner, “But when you have a family you rarely get the chance. Having one at home means we can exercise when it fits in with everyone else. It’s still not as often as it should be but we all like using the running machine and watching the TV at the same time. It makes it less painful!” Upstairs off the spacious landing there are five large bedrooms, each with far reaching views, and en-suite shower room to the master suite and a good family bathroom. Outside a large stone terrace encircles the rear and side of the house with steps leading down to the grounds which are laid mainly to lawn for easy maintenance fringed with mature trees. A newly created Zen garden is an unusual and tranquil addition to one corner. In 2004 planning permission was obtained for an indoor pool to be built with doors out onto this portion of the grounds and a glazed link to the main house. This expired in 2009 however it is anticipated a renewal could be obtained. But this is one item on their list the current owners have not been able to complete because after a happy time at the Vicarage geography dictates that the family must move on. The current owner said: “I know everyone says they will be sad to leave but we really will. We love it here, next to the church it really is a beautifully tranquil place. “But sadly we have to move locations and so we have to say goodbye. . http://www.arkadia.com/zpoc-t870777/

Facing Grove Crescent is this lovely Grade II listed Georgian terrace offering both style and elegance whilst remaining very family friendly. It has been treated to a fresh, modern decorative scheme inside but the fine proportions remain - a family house with flair. Five floors contain superb living space with an interconnecting double reception to the lower ground floor, kitchen/diner, fabulous formal reception/bedroom, four or five double bedrooms (depending on how you arrange the living quarters), a wet room plus main bathroom and two separate w.cs. The garden runs to 65 feet, at the end of which is a garage with access from Stories Mews. The station at Denmark Hill offers superb links (you can reach Victoria in about 5 minutes on the fast train); the local state primary (Dog Kennel Hill) matches any private in the area and you have a supersonic Sainsburys and several good pubs close by too. Camberwell Grove has a reputation across London for having one of the city's best displays of Georgian and Regency architecture. Walking through the deep front garden, you are stepping over the old coal store to the front of the house (which is currently used as a wine cellar and provides great storage space). You may use the formal front door, or the lower ground one below the stone steps that opens into double reception. Extended by the current owners, the lower level is richly carpeted to the main part, with hints of beautiful poured Resin flooring to the rear with underfloor heating to keep those toes toasty! There are friendly white walls and overhead spotlights too. The room to the front has a beautiful wood burning stove taking the focal point, with two recessed storage cupboards either side. The rear reception is very well lit by double doors leading out to the garden and a nifty overhead glass panel. Storage needs are catered for – there is a deep cupboard under the stairs running up to the ground floor and additional storage in the chimney breast. A Philippe Starck wet room with underfloor heating and Spanish ceramic tiling sits impressively along the left wall and this entire level could easily be used as a self-contained apartment for a relative, au-pair or teenager. Take the stairs up to the ground floor and pausing in the hall with reclaimed wooden flooring, you can see right through to the garden at the back. This floor contains an extremely smart, custom built kitchen opening through to a light dining room/reception at the front. Cooks will like the layout and the fittings - the worktops are in dark polished granite. French windows open out from the kitchen onto a wrought iron balcony and steps down to the garden. Back in the hall and at the far end is a w.c and deep storage cupboard (which currently houses a washing machine). Ascend the stairs, which are painted white with an elegant Roger Oates runner where on the first floor you have a formal reception (or master bedroom) with fantastic original tall French windows, jaw-droppingly high ceilings and an impressive fireplace. The rear bedroom has super fitted bookcases in the alcoves and a garden view (a home study). On the second floor is a large front double bedroom with wardrobes to each alcove, a feature fireplace and fabulous distressed wooden flooring. Behind that a beautiful big bathroom with Lefroy Brooks fittings, twin basins set atop a marble counter, tall storage cupboard and roll top tub. Floor three, the top one, has two more bedrooms (each with storage), a ceramic mosaic-tiled shower room with underfloor heating (Lefroy Brooks fittings and custom made shower drencher) and a final w.c. Camberwell Grove is well located for town, with Denmark Hill mainline station just five minutes on foot (fast, frequent services to London Bridge, Blackfriars and Victoria). Grocery shopping is a cinch too, with the big Sainsburys in Dog Kennel Hill (complete with Starbucks) only three minutes in the car. Another five minutes is Lordship Lane, a mecca for south London foodies. Alternatively, simply walk to the bottom of Camberwell Grove, a lovely stroll past all your Georgian neighbours, to Camberwell Church Street where there are numerous dining and drinking (!) opportunities. If you are looking for a large house that offers plenty of space both inside and out, then you simply have to take a look at this fantastic family home in one of the most requested roads in Binstead. Close to Ryde which offers quick and easy access to the mainland, and a short drive to the shops, local pubs and restaurants, and of course the beach, which gives the family plenty to do and spend time together having fun. The current owners have done a lot in the house over the years to keep it fresh, modern and up together and it should appeal to those buyers who want the larger, older style family home, but don't want to spend the time, effort and money making it as beautiful and modern as it currently is. The size of the property has to be seen to be believed, especially the ground floor. The lounge is 26' in length, whilst the conservatory is one of the biggest we have seen in a long time, measuring in at a hugely impressive 27'!! From the conservatory whilst enjoying a glass or two of wine, you can also watch as some of the local wildlife take advantage of the lovely garden. There is also a 16' dining room, and a good sized kitchen making the ground floor a nice social part of the house, which can be used for entertaining family and friends, and would be perfect for those special occasions such as the kids birthdays and Christmas. To see for yourself why we are so excited to be marketing this excellent family home call us now. What the Owner says:We bought this house over 30 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, both as a family and in more recent times when the children have flown the nest. We have come to realise that the house is now probably too big for us, and it is time for our home to be filled with a family, and to have children running around and making noise! We have constantly improved the house over the years and kept it modern and up to date, and we have put on a conservatory that adds a wow factor, with it being 27' in length. We will definitely miss our house and the lovely garden which gives young children and the grandchildren plenty of room to have fun and run around playing football! The Property Warehouse are pleased to present this substantially extended and modernised family home. Don't let the 1970's facade of this property fool you into thinking that inside you will find a run of the mill semi.... far from it! Until you enter the property and investigate you really can't appreciate what this property has to offer.... a lot of time, thought and money on the part of the current owners has created what can only be described as an exceptional family home. What this home offers is absolute versatility with 4/5 large bedrooms 2 reception rooms, large conservatory, kitchen, downstairs shower room, family bathroom, garage, lovely gardens and so much more. To explain the 4/5 bedroom listing... no it doesn't mean there is a box room not big enough to swing a cat! ...it means there is a large room downstairs that can and has been used as a bedroom, an ideal scenario for perhaps an elderly relative you may have or wish to have living with you, alternatively this room would make an ideal 2nd sitting room, games room etc. The decorative order of the property is exceptional throughout and the rear gardens benefit from sun all day long whilst being secluded and not overlooked. The local area offers several exceptional schools as well as good overall local amenities and proximity of both rail, motorway and bus routes. In order to really get a feel for what this surprisingly substantial home has to offer- Call The Property Warehouse today and book your viewing! Front Aspect When we arrived at this property we didn't expect it to be as big as it actually is. It was very surprising. Integral Garage The garage could be converted into an extra room and with an extra door leading directly into the dining room could be made good. Entrance Porch The entrance porch is ideal for taking your shoes off or just keeping the heat inside the living room. Lounge The lounge offers a warm and inviting space to relax. It feels like a family home with lots of positive energy. Lounge View of the lounge. Lounge View of the lounge. Kitchen The kitchen boasts integrated appliances and has been fitted to a high standard and of excellent quality. Kitchen Birds eye view of the kitchen to fully appreciate this kitchen. Kitchen The current owners have cleverly built a downstairs toilet which sits between the kitchen and dining room. It has even been fitted with a shower. Dining Room The dining room is large, lots of room to walk around and serve family or friends. Conservatory The conservatory is a wonderful place for those relaxing days with a glass of wine or a book to read. Conservatory Looking towards the dining room from the conservatory. Sunglasses required for visits to this house as it must be one of the brightest in the area. Light comes flooding in from the big windows all over this property with some rooms having triple aspect. The old line of ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ could easily apply here, as to be honest although the house is very well presented we are aware that from the front this may not be the prettiest house, but once you walk through the door you will no doubt agree that beauty is on the inside. The current lay out on the ground floor could suit if you are looking for a house where someone could live with you, but still be a little detached – maybe an independent teenager, or if you wanted to rent out to students. This idea could potentially be taken further by converting some of the garage to form a potential annexe, subject to obtain any necessary consents. The position here is another of the major features as you are so close to local shops, buses and other transport links, but at the same time you are still in a quiet part of Brighton. Viewings are easy, call us to arrange and don’t forget your sunglasses. What the Owner says:Time to move on but this has been a great place to live as it is so handy for so many things. The co-op is open until late and you can be there and back inside of 2 minutes. There is a post office and various other shops all within easy walking distance too. One of the things we will miss the most is the first floor level with the lounge and kitchen, as these rooms are really bright and spacious and there is always something to look at while you’re doing the washing up. Set within a mixture of houses and bungalows, you get a real sense of peace and tranquillity with it being a no through road. Minster is steeped in history, listen to the ringing of the bells at the famous Minster Abbey, or why not walk around the museum and learn some of the history. Once inside the house, hang up your coat and take off your shows in the hallway and visualise your furniture in the lounge, you could cuddle up on your sofa whilst watching the TV. The big windows and doors beam in plenty of light and sunshine to illuminate the room, or gaze out at the garden and debate when you might get round to cutting the lawn. The colourful presentation throughout would certainly make this home somewhere you could just move your furniture into and start living in your new home without lifting a finger. In the large kitchen area, as well as plenty of cupboard and storage space, there is plenty of workspace perfect to prepare your daily meal. If you are into more exotic and flavoursome cooking, turn on the extractor fan to disguise what you are cooking or burning, from your invited family and friends. Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances. Ainsworth Lord Estates Ltd. is very pleased to be offering for sale this very well presented, nice semi-detached property on the recently built Fernhurst Farm Development, which is near Ewood, Blackburn. Metcalfe Close is a small cul-de-sac, which is very quiet, close to the woods, and gets no through traffic. All the properties in this cul-de-sac are very well looked after, and this property is certainly no exception. Approaching the house from the front, the main door is on the side of the property and accessed from the driveway, which will take three cars - no problem. Being situated on a corner, this property has the benefit of extra front space. From the front door there is a small vestibule, which leads into a spacious lounge. As the front of the house faces due south, the large bay window allows plenty of natural light into the house, giving that feeling of being even bigger than it actually is. There's a composite marble fire surround which houses a coal effect gas fire - an ideal boost for those chilly winter nights! The main lounge also benefits from Air Conditioning. Access to the kitchen is from the lounge. This modern kitchen has everything you need in a kitchen these days; including a good selection of lovely kitchen units, with built in Hob, Oven and Extractor. There is plumbing for a dishwasher and of course the washing machine. At the other end of the kitchen is the dining area, and as you can see from the pictures there are patio doors that lead out from the kitchen onto a sizeable patio (ideal for bar-bq's and party nights). The back garden is a good size, not too big to be a burden, and big enough to enjoy! It consists of a nice well maintained lawn and borders that contain a nice mixture of plants offering colour and interest at various time of the year. The fencing is relatively new, well maintained and in excellent order. At the edge of the patio there is a garden shed and space for the bins, which can be taken out on bin day through the garden gate and on to the driveway. There's also an outside tap fitted to the outer kitchen wall, which comes in handy for washing the cars and patio, or even watering the plants. Back inside.... Upstairs is accessed throughout the lounge, and up an open plan staircase, to a spacious landing, off which are all the upstairs rooms. There are there bedrooms upstairs - two of which are Doubles. The third bedroom, currently used as an office is also suitable for a variety of other uses. The Double bedrooms are good sized and allow ample space for wardrobes etc. The front Master Bedroom also benefits from Air Conditioning. The family bathroom, consists of a WC, wash basin, and a bath which has a power shower fitted AND an electric one too (just as a back-up), and is tastefully tiled. Other benefits to this well looked after property include: TV sockets in many of the rooms; additional Phone Sockets, Air Conditioning in the Main Lounge and Master Bedroom. Full Gas Central Heating, Fully maintained Alarm System, security lighting at the back, additional built-in storage in the vestibule (under the stairs), and in the airing cupboard (in the bathroom). This property is fitted with quality carpets and floor coverings throughout. The loft is partially boarded and has power and lighting.
