Torcal with its fabulous rock formations, Montes de Malaga with its pine forests and the Serria Tejeda mountain range. All areas are abundant with flora and fauna, ideal for nature lovers, walkers and tourists. The last 2 have roads through and picnic areas. For more lively pursuits the coast 30km away, has beaches galore, water parks, shops and restaurants. The Costa del Sol is very popular with golfers and many courses are available on the coast. Information available on request.There is skiing available in the Sierra Nevada approx. 2 hours drive away. Casita Julian is located in the centre of Mijas which is very convenient for exploring the whole area of Costa del Sol. There are 2 bedrooms and with the added luxury of a hydrotherapy spa which is under cover and heated all year round. Mijas Pueblo is a gem of Spain, small and with immense character yet close to the large number of modern leisure facilities that Fuengirola, Marbella and Malaga offer and shopping that is as good as anywhere in the world. The apartments are within a ten minute walk of the centre of the village, although it must be said our road is steep so older people and those with very young children may prefer to drive into the village. Our fantastic views are worth it though. There are several small supermarkets for daily needs and over forty restaurants so even if you don't have a car you will not have to cook if you don't want to. If you decide to hire a car there are many places of interest and beauty to visit with something for everyone within a short distance of the villa. Marbella, Ronda, Gibraltar, the Lakes, Granada (the Alhambra), Fuengirola to mention but a few. You will be spoilt for choice. Words cannot do it justice, so why not come and see this stunning region of Spain for yourself.Location: Mijas Pueblo is ideally placed for a lazy holiday when you sun bathe, admire the views and eat well but it is also perfect for those who like to visit interesting places. Marbella and Malaga are a twenty minute drive, Seville and Granada (the Alhambra Palace) can be reached in two hours and historic Cordoba takes one and a half hours. Gibraltar is an hour away as is the beautiful mountain town of Ronda. In the winter you can ski in the Sierra Nevada (one and a half hours away) in the morning and if you have the energy it is possible to be back in time for a round of golf at one of the numerous courses just a ten minute drive from the apartment. You can then round the day off with a rejuvenating dip in the spa. A relaxing or energising holiday, the choice is yours. Eating out: There are many restaurants within walking distance of the apartment but there are numerous others within a ten minute drive. Anything from a complete meal with twenty choices in each course for ?7.25 to a special night out in luxurious surroundings with Cordon Bleu cuisine. Among other places of interest within a short drive are the pretty villages of Benahavis or the old town of Marbella.Further details :Within a 10 minute drive of the villa can be found local shops, restaurants (several of our favourites are listed in the information pack in the villa) or banks. The city of Malaga is 40 minutes away with its places of interest and museums. There are water parks in Fuengirola (20 minutes) or Algeciras (45 minutes). Selwo Safari Park is just 15 minutes away, whilst Tivoli World in Benalmadena is a great funfair for adults and kids alike (20 minutes by car). Gibraltar is well worth a vist with its Rock Tour including the famous Barbary Apes and duty free shopping (45 minutes away). For the more adventurous why not take a trip to visit the stunning Alhambra Palace in Granada or the Mezquita de Cordoba Mosque, in Cordoba (Granada or Cordoba are both 2 to 3 hour drive). Ronda, a 2 hour drive away, is a wonderful place to visit with its Puenta Nueva "new" bridge straddling the 100 metre chasm of the El Tajo Gorge below. Seville is a 2 hour drive away also. Why not take a tour on the many Tour Buses, or visit Isla Magica, the biggest theme park in Spain.

Villa Maria is a privately owned 4 bed room house located in one of the Costa del Sol’s most exclusive areas. As you enter the expanse of polished marble floors will take your breath away. On this level is the large lounge with dining room and fully fitted kitchen. There are sliding glass doors to the sheltered terrace with table & chairs, sun loungers and barbecue.
