Great Christmas and party house. A real family home, every one congregates in the kitchen, and on a sunny day the sun comes into the kitchen from the through sitting room. There were always a lot of children playing in the big garden that had a tree house and many hidding places, so when my son was young it was the place with room for all.Having log fires in all the rooms make it very homely and I love the cosy feel, but the garden is the best how it has evolved of the the years has been amazing to watch, it just has so many special corners.

Our house is on the north shore of Morecambe Bay with the beach directly across the road. From the elevated conservatory we can see as far as Blackpool, around to Morecambe and the north pennine hills. We never tire of watching the sea and the changing light. Winter sunrises are spectacular! The house has a large family room that's full of light where we can chat, cook and socialise. It's great for parties although the snug gives a peaceful quiet space when needed. All the bedrooms are doubles. The walled back garden is big enough to extend that party we spoke about and the hot tub sets it off perfectly at any time of the year.
Over thirty years ago I found this house and fell in love with it. Now I have to move away from Windsor and need to find new owners who will love it as much as I do. The house is located right in the heart of Windsor town centre. It seems to be known to the local children as the 'House of the Big Dogs' because of the Great Danes and Boxers who used to live here. The house dates back to the nineteenth century and has been sympathetically modernised without losing the wonderful old features. There are three large bedrooms, a big family bathroom and masses of space downstairs. There are two landscaped gardens which are extremely secluded and remarkably peaceful. There is secure off street parking for two cars. This house has been a happy home. Over the years it has seen some remarkable social gatherings and many dinner parties. Life in the Windsor house is great. You only have to step out of the door to find excellent restaurants, hairdressers, clothes shops and a chemist. Wander a few yards further into Peascod Street then there is even more choice, including large stores such as Waitrose and Marks and Spencers. For your Sunday papers you just need to go across the road. Leisure activities cover a wide spectrum, from walks in the Great Park, visits to the Castle, theatre, cinema, horse racing, tennis and golf. From a business point of view Windsor is well connected. It has easy access to the M4 and M25 and there are two rail stations which go to Waterloo and Paddington.

The flat takes up the entire first floor of a lovely detached period property. It's light, bright and airy, with big sash windows, two double bedrooms and period fireplaces. The house is situated on a quiet closed road with a lovely front garden and private back garden. There's a patio area, pergola, ponds and a permanent bbq, which is great for the summer. The kitchen overlooks the garden, which makes even tedious chores like washing up that bit more enjoyable! The bathroom is modern and fresh, and there is a separate WC too. A real beauty - a 1930's detached family home offering so much accommodation and space for everyone. Set in a generous plot of land with plenty of parking at the rear, it's perfect for all the family and having two large detached garages, the budding mechanic or hobby enthusiast is absolutely spoilt here. The accommodation flows wonderfully off a large entrance lobby which doubles up nicely as a play room or another dining area for those big dinner parties. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are very well presented and the whole house has a really special feel throughout. The five bedrooms upstairs are all a good size and the master bedroom has a lovely en suite. There is also a separate bathroom and a shower room as well. If you need even more space there is a smashing one bedroom self contained annexe with its own garden in fabulous order and tastefully decorated. This could be used to rent out and bring in a welcome monthly income or owners' accommodation if using the main house for Bed and Breakfast or a guest house. This is a real gem of a traditional 1930's home situated in the heart of Godshill, a truly charming village with super countryside walks on the doorstep and lovely village spirit. What the Owner says:We must say that the last 25 years bringing up our family here has been just wonderful, the location has been brilliant and so handy for all of us; schools nearby, local shops, and amenities. Just ten minutes down the road to Shanklin and ten minutes to Newport. We are leaving all our heartfelt memories here as we now have to downsize as now just the two of us are left, it's far too big. Our lovely Barn conversion dates from, we think, around 1800 but was converted in 1998 and further improved by us more recently. It was apparently used for storage by Smugglers who traveled along the coast road and stopped at the adjacent pub! It is big and roomy, with a great south facing indoor swimming pool so perfect for parties, or just relaxing in the sun. Loads of garden space to the south, and a quieter, private walled courtyard garden that is a real sun trap.
Tucked out of the way and set back off the road, out of sight once you have closed the front gates, you are secluded and in your own space. You can hear in the distance people chatting, cars driving by, but no one can see you, yet the busy High Street is only a short walking distance away. Choose from a mixture of local businesses, from fruit and veg sellers, ideal to help you get your five a day, or brand names like Co-op and Iceland and along the other end of the High Street, a large Tesco to do your fortnightly shopping. With the beach never more than walking distance away, in Sheerness whoever you are, what better place to live and bring up the children. Picture them playing at the beach, laughing, running around, all excited or let them cool off and go for a dip in the sea or spend some loose change in the amusements with the sounds and flashing lights of the machines . What appears at first glance as an average size house from the outside, will portray a different side once inside. Each room has its own character and style, you get a feeling of space which ever room you are in and seem to be endless, perfect for a large family. What the Owner says:I have owned this house for over 10 years, as soon as I walked through the front door I had to buy it, it just had a warmth about it and I could see at first glance it was going to be a big house. Once you shut the front gates, you could be anywhere, yet close to all the amenities, from doctors to dentists as well as the railway station. "A great family home with lots of happy memories" is how the owners described this house to me. Lots of things made this house ideal for family life; the kitchen/breakfast room was a great place to have family meals. The owner liked the fact she could cook dinner and keep an eye on her children doing their homework at the table. The lounge is approximately 20ft long with built in stone fireplace, so ample space for big cosy sofas and movie nights with the children. Both rooms are adjoining to the full width Victorian style conservatory. This was where the owners would do all of their entertaining, being able to have a huge table to seat all their guests for dinner parties at special occasions. The room would also double as a great playroom for the children and opens up to the garden where the current owners have put in a great size patio. On a summer afternoon with the doors open this is really good entertaining space, and great for the children. The whole house feels bright and as you go up the stairs, the window on the landing lets in lots of natural light. The two larger bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and all three have built in storage cupboards. This home has lots of other nice touches; alarm system, entrance porch and importantly off street parking for two cars. Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances. What the Owner says:For us, size and location were the two most important things for us when we were looking for our home. We initially went to view this house because we knew we could walk to the station from it. When we saw the sizes of the rooms we were sold. The lounge and kitchen/breakfast room run the full length of the house so that the conservatory was a real bonus. We love to entertain and this meant the house was big enough for us to do so. The upstairs worked well for us as well, there is lots of storage space and all three bedrooms were good sizes. To make the home perfect for us we put in a block paved driveway and patio in the rear garden. In the summer we used to love picking apples of the trees that were as big as your fist! As modern properties go you normally see more of a small plot with them all wedged in. Not in this instance as the plot for this house is surely big enough for two! Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac off Hunts Pond Road Use as you like with the Lounge being big enough to accommodate a dining space and for more everyday use then the kitchen is plenty big enough to house a table at one end As already stated the plot is more than generous and leaves plenty of room for a conservatory or even a extension obviously subject to any planning permission being granted. Plenty of parking and a garage add to this property.
